I know I am being a broken record, but where has the time gone? How can Ben be five months old? We've had a great month, and Ben's personality is really starting to shine!
Sleeping: Not the best, but we've seen improvement. Ben is now sleeping in his crib for both bedtime and naps. He still wakes up during the night, but thankfully it's just been once a night for the past few weeks. He even slept until 5:20 the other day (yay!). I guess this is technically considered "sleeping through the night," but that isn't quite my definition. Ben has been rolling over onto his tummy to sleep, which has been a major help. My babies definitely sleep better on their tummies than on their backs. His naps have been ok, but I wish he could stretch them out a bit longer.
Eating: We've also seen improvement with bottle-feeding. He will now finish a three or four ounce bottle on most days. Its still not his preferred method of eating, but at least he has caved a bit. We've also started Ben on rice cereal, which he loves! I didn't have the greatest expectations because Henry wasn't a fan of rice cereal, but this kid cannot get enough. I'm hoping this is a good sign for a healthy appetite!
In general: We are very much in love with this little guy! He loves to chew on his hands, play with his feet and listen to the sound of his own voice. His smiles are just so contagious and wonderful. I cannot seem to capture his wonderful grin on camera. It really must be experienced in person! He has the cutest fuzzy hair that reminds me of a little duckling. It just sticks straight up, and I just want to pet him all the time! Ben is a pretty laid back baby for most of the time. He can be quite content with simply hanging out in his bumbo seat or bouncy chair, which has been really helpful when it is just me and the boys. However, Ben is not afraid to let you know when he is unhappy, or when he doesn't want to take a nap. We cannot wait to see what he has in store for us next!
