Man's Best Friend

People who know us know how much we love our dog Bea.  It is almost an obsession we've had over this dog for the past five years.  Essentially, she was our first "baby."  Therefore, people often commented on what will become of poor Bea once the baby arrived - how will she react to coming in second to the baby, will she be jealous, etc.

But I'm happy to say that Bea has responded beautifully to her new baby brother.  She has been such a sweet girl, hanging out with us during floor and tummy time, observing diaper changes and napping with Henry in his room.  I thought at first, Bea was only doing this because either Ryan or I were in the room.  And maybe that is the case most of the time.  But I've noticed a few moments that lead me to believe that Bea loves her baby brother.  When we come home from running errands, Bea now brings Henry one of her bones.  And the other day, Henry and I were sitting in his glider when Bea walked into the room.  She first looked in his crib, then to his swing and then turned to the glider.  She was looking for Henry!  When she saw us she wiggled and turned into the "love sponge" we all know and love.  That's my girl.  She and Henry are going to be great friends.
